We have stayed here a couple of times, and had pleasant stays. Rate is about 2400 peso for a double room, including a nice breakfast buffet for two.
The best thing about the hotel is their nice swimming pool and also a kiddie pool if you have small children like us. Hotels with similar pools in Cebu City are usually about twice the price, so it's a good bargain if you're on a budget. Some expats even pay a monthly fee to use the swimming pool when they need to cool off. In the background is a bar and restaurant with reasonably priced food. The breakfast buffet is included, and held a very decent standard for the price. Fresh fruits, bread, cereals, juice, coffee, eggs made your own style, bacon, sausages, rice, salads. High chairs for kids.
Location is within walking distance behind the bustling Gaisano Country Mall in Banilad. The mall is not as big or modern as Ayala or SM, but still an OK selection of stores, massage parlour, cinema, a supermarket and restaurants(incl Jollibee for kids) and even Drifter's, a local expat hangout. Lots of expats live in this area, and you're not very far from western pubs/restaurants like Joker's Arms, Urban Cellar, Emerald Isle, Gustavian, the Ranch and other places that seem to pop up every now and then.
Lobby is nice, in a colonial style. Check-in and check-out is pretty efficient and they accept all major credit cards.
Rooms vary in size, and there are some old and new parts of the building. We were pleased with ours, the cheapest standard room. The bed was made up better than this, I just forgot to take photos before using it :-). There's cable TV and room service. Wi-fi is free, but remember to ask for the password upon check-in. In some areas, wi-fi is not working properly all over the property, so if it's very important for you, ask upon check-in.
CR and bathroom was nice, everything working well - hot and cold water.
And most of all, the kids love the kiddie pool! Some times they have live bands or other entertainment. The place is popular for weddings and conferences. Check out their web page for more information.
