I knew that lawn bowling was arranged now and then, sometimes by Gustavian, but didn't really know what it was like until today. Hearing the name should give you an idea. You need a special kind of ball, which is shaped so it curls a little to the side.

The rules are pretty similar to curling or boccia. Your goal is to get most of your balls closer to the small white ball than your oppenent. The game is quite exciting; even if you have what seems a comfortable 4-0 lead, a well place shot may turn the tables completely. You play 5 ends and count the total points. Play single or on a team.
This is a sport that can be played by people of all ages. Today there were 16 players aged from their twenties until late sixties. The good thing is you can also enjoy a beer or drink while you play. No need to be in perfect shape for this kind of game.

Edwin and I joined as a team. Normally it's a draft, but since we never played this game before, I wanted to avoid groans having me on their team.
To put it short, we lost every game but at times we actually gave some good competition. Today was a tournament(250 peso each), other times it's just a regular competition(150 each). The tournament was played at the club house in Silver Hills, Talamban. They have a CR.
