Healthy Options

Ayala Center Cebu 6000

HealthyOptions

They are located at Ayala and SM, so it shouldn’t really be any secret, but there are in fact a good number of expats that don’t really know what’s inside here.  In Ayala, you will find them at the corner of The Terraces, ground floor, next to The Gustavian. In SM they are located in the new wing opposite of Kultura.

Healthy Options has a huge range of imported products. They believe in natural, nutritious and good tasting healthy products, and guarantee you a full refund or replacement if you’re not satisfied with their product! That’s something you don’t see often in the Philippines.

I’ve been a regular client of them for a while now, since I suffer from a celiac disease. That means I have to live on a gluten free diet. Gluten is a protein you will find in wheat, oat, barley and rye so I cannot eat those products. Everything else is fine – I can eat veggies, fruit, fish, meat, corn, rice, eggs, milk and other stuff. I have to make my own bread, and then I need gluten free flour, or bread mix. Healthy Options offer a good variety of that. Hearty Whole Grain, mix for pizza crust, cookies, pancakes and others. They also sell gluten free spaghetti and lasagna plates as well as ready to eat products like crackers, cookies and cereal bars.

Gluten free products are only a small range of what they offer. If you ore others in your family suffer from lactose intolerance, they have a good variety of these products as well.

This is not only a store for people with food allergies. You can also buy top quality regular flour, organic rice, wine, frozen products, vitamins, fresh breath mints, chocolate, even organic snacks here. It’s not particularly cheap, since most things are imported from the US. Scandinavians will be thrilled to see they offer a good variety of Wasa Crisp bread.

Another good thing about Healthy Options, is that if you from time to time suffer from something like a stuffed nose, diarrhea, fatigue, sore eyes or other symptoms, you could tell the friendly staff and they can look up in their computer what products are recommended.  Changing your diet can often be better for you than chewing pills. I recommend you to pay them a visit, since they have so much to offer you won’t find elsewhere in Cebu.

They also have stores in several locations of Manila as well as Clark and Davao.
